Made with stoneware and drawn with oxide, this is is a one-of-a-kind illuminated wall sculpture,finished with a hand-painted linework pattern under a glossy clear glaze.
The form is deliberately irregular, with rounded protrusions. Every lobe is drawn into with a fine radiating web, so the pattern stretches and compresses as it travels over the curves.
Mounted a few inches off the wall on with a concealed LED behind it, the piece casts a soft halo of colored light onto the surrounding wall. When lit, it glows like something underwater. Unlit, it holds its own as a sculptural relief in cream and deep green.
