This Queen of Hearts lamp reimagines a familiar symbol of power, control, and presence through a sculptural, intimate form. The imagery wraps across the surface, fragmenting and reassembling the queen’s face, suit, and ornamental details as the viewer moves around it. What is typically flat and graphic becomes dimensional, shifting between play, strength and ornament.
The saturated palette of deep blue, red, and yellow is balanced by a glossy glaze that activates the surface, catching light and creating subtle moments of reflection. When illuminated, the piece softens, turning a symbol of command into something more atmospheric and personal.

Made with stoneware and drawn with oxide, this is is a one-of-a-kind illuminated wall sculpture,finished with a hand-painted linework pattern under a glossy clear glaze.
The form is deliberately irregular, with rounded protrusions. Every lobe is drawn into with a fine radiating web, so the pattern stretches and compresses as it travels over the curves.
Mounted a few inches off the wall on with a concealed LED behind it, the piece casts a soft halo of colored light onto the surrounding wall. When lit, it glows like something underwater. Unlit, it holds its own as a sculptural relief in cream and deep green.
