Strange objects growing in a plastic unreal world, this piece is an installation based on 5 separate sounds playing at the same time – 4 are personal recordings - a walk with my dog in Vermont,  birds singing on my deck, bells chiming in DC, to the sound of a fire hydrant pouring out running water.  The last sound, emanating from the black and white ceramic piece (named boombox) is a live scanner of the NYPD Special Ops Department. There is  a disruptive and unsettling sense from the sounds overlapping and the tension of llive action breaking us out of the bubble of "pleasant" and "nice" surroundings.
