Let Me Go, 2022

Ceramic, thread, acrylic

Stark and stripped down in black and white minimalism, this is a poetic releasing and contracting.  A sense of tension of pulling away or towards, and with a tension between presence and absence, containment and openness. Threads  stretch tightly, holding the ceramic form in suspension, like taking a breath.  Thread, a material associated with repair and connection, suggests both control and care—drawing invisible tensions into visibility.
